Mount Chirripo is the highest peak in Costa Rica, at 3880 meters above sea level. Many packages that include overnights in tents and guide depart daily out of San Isidro and San Jose. The climate is fresh to cold in the higher parts. It is ideal for adventure and ecotourism. Visitors will be able to see paramo and cloud forest.
